So, a round up from the midweek bet, posted a 4 fold both teams to score, which managed 1 correct leg when LA FC drew 2-2 with LA Galaxy. DC United, San Jose and Orlando all drew blanks at home. In both teams to score I always feel it should be the away team that lets you down, so it was disappointing that 3 home teams did with this bet.
Onto this weekend’s bets, again 2 bets, a both teams to score and the 100/1+ shot.
Let start with the both teams to score bet, the 5 fold this week comes in at 20.29, quite big odds for the MLS, this has been helped by to NO’s in the picks, which the bookmakers do not agree with.
First up I have gone for New York Red Bulls V Columbus Crew, Columbus have played 10 away game this season and none have seen both teams score, although history in the fixture is in favour of BTTS, I have decided to go with current form on this one.
Toronto V Chicago Fire, scores high on our predictions, 78.6%, historically in this fixture we see 8 out of 9 games ending with BTTS using our historical parameters. Chicago away from home have had 9 out of 10 away games end with BTTS, this just pointed out this game has a great chance.
Montreal V Atlanta, now this makes the odds for this bet really jump, Skybet have given odds of NO at 3.00, and have this in massive favour of both teams to score. There has only been one game between the sides in the time frame I am looking at which did end with both teams scoring but this season at home Montreal have only had 3 in 10 games end with BTTS while Atlanta are at 5 out of 10. This tells me these are great odds for this game.
San Jose V Real Salt lake, last 5 years this game sits near 50/50 but the current form of the teams this season has made me go for it. 7 out of 9 for San Jose at home, while Real Salt Lake have seen 6 of their 10 games away from home end with both teams scoring.
Portland V Houston, again like above, this one has been picked mainly from the current seasons form of both teams, historically slightly better than San Jose V Real Salt Lake. Feel this is a good pick.
£10 on this returns £202.86, an extra £120 compared to last weeks five fold both teams to score bet, so in the bookmakers eyes less chance this week for this bet, but I feel it stands a real good chance.
The big bet comes in at 123.04, so £10 returns £1,230.39. I wouldnt normally have the small bet in a both teams to score and a long odds bet but with the vakue in both teams to score NO in the Montreal game, this became the first pick.
Toronto's home form is not great this season but they have won 4 out of the last 5 at home against Chicago with 3 of these victories coming with both teams scoring. With Chicago only winning 2 away from home this season, seemed a good match to me.
Minnesota's away record is terrible, winning 1 in 9, losing 8, while 6 of these games ended with both teams scoring, for me, this, matched with the both teams to score chance, made it make sense to me.
So discussed above that I feel San Jose V Real Salt lake ends with both teams scoring, matched with San Jose good home form and Real Salt Lake losing 8 out of 10, another good shout for the BTTS and home win.
The last pick is LA Galaxy to win with a -1 handicap. The only pervious game in the last few years ended with a 4-2 win for Galaxy. Orlando's away record has them losing 80% of their games this season and LA winning 5 out of 9. LA have scored 12 in their last 4 home games and conceded 5, while away from home Orlando have lost 6 times already this season by 2 goals or more.
